Tile
Tile, whether natural stone, metal, class, glazed clay based or porcelain, can go in more areas of the home then just kitchen and bath. A full accent wall of stacked stone in a great room is one way to bring in color and texture. Glass mosaic tile in a powder bath as backdrop to a framed mirror, reflects light.
Tile is also practical as it is durable, easy to care for, scratch resistant, water resistant, fire resistant, and can bring beauty to any room.
Laminate & Pre-finished Wood
Many pre-finished engineered woods and laminate flooring can go on walls. Consider putting a beautiful walnut on the wall behind a bed, a rustic hand scraped hickory in the bar area, or a white washed pine laminate on the walls of a sunroom. There are mosaics made of recycled and scraped woods.
3D/Textured Panels
3D Panels are a great way to add interest to an area. Imagine waves running the length of a hallway. There are many patterns and sizes available. Most panels are paintable, so the only limit is your imagination.
