Congratulations on your new home.

Here is some information on what you can expect from your design center appointment.

Most appointments will take 2 hours.  We will select all the countertops, wall tiles, and flooring throughout the home.   In some cases, we will also select cabinets for the home.

Before coming to your design center appointment, there are a few things you should be thinking about.  By answering and discussing these questions ahead of time, you will be better prepared for your appointment and it will be, hopefully, less stressful.  This is an exciting time in your lives and the design appointment should be a fun experience.

• Are you more casual or more formal?  (ex;  shaggy carpet or velvet plush?)
• Is there anything in the model home that really appealed to you?
• What do you like about the home you live in now? 
• What do you like least about the home you live in now? 
• Do you entertain a lot?
• Do you have children, pets, or elderly individuals living with you? 
• How long do you expect to live in the home?
• Do you have a budget in mind?
  (You don’t have to tell us, but it’s good for you to know how much you can comfortable afford)
• What furniture do you have, that we need to consider in making decisions?
• What products are you most interested in?  (ex. Hardwood flooring, granite tops, ceramic tile)  What products do you not want, if any?
• What colors do you like?  (Brights, muted, warm or cool tones)

If you have seen ideas in magazines or books, please bring them in, and we will work toward getting you a similar look.  If you have colors you are trying to match, bring a sample in and we will do our best.

Remember, this is your new home.  It is worth taking the time to talk to all parties that will be living in the home on what they would like the home to be like.  That doesn’t necessarily mean every body gets what they want, but all family members should get to feel like they were involved.  It is worth discussing with the main decision makers what you like and don’t like, before you come to your appointment.
